Members of the General Assembly of the Uganda Olympic Committee recently re-elected the incumbent, William Frederick Blick, for a four-year term of office. The election took place on 28 February 2017, during an ordinary session of the body. William Frederick Blick was first elected in 2013, taking over from Roger Hans Ddungu who himself had been elected four years prior to that.
Donald Rukare was also elected Secretary-General.
The Uganda Olympic Committee has a huge task ahead during this Olympiad, especially in preparing athletes fully for the forthcoming Olympic Games billed for Tokyo in 2020.
