After the paper by Rodney Swigelaar (WADA Africa) there was unanimity as to the absolute need for NOCs to work in close collaboration with their Governments on the issue.
Doping control can only produce expected outcomes with the commitment of Governments.
Swigelaar underscored that it effectively requires a high investment, which is, however, “indispensable to ensure the integrity of sport”.
