The President of the Tunisia National Olympic Committee (CNOT), Mehrez Boussayène, was on 12 March 2017 re-elected at the helm of the body for the 2017-2020 quadrennial. Boussayène won with 35 votes against 28 for his challenger, Mahmoud Hammami, the outgoing Secretary-General of the institution.
In office since 2013, Mehrez Boussayène took over from Younès Chetali. His team includes: Skander Hachicha, Salma mouelhi, Ali Benzarti, Ridha Manai, Zeyda Doghri Khalsi, Fathi Hachicha, Maher Bouchammaoui, Hassan Korbi, Kamel Deguiche, Houcine Kharrazi, Naoufel Marchaoui, Tarak Fakhfekh and Mohsen Takrouni.
The Sports Arbitration Committee on its part is made up of: Akrem Zribi, Chedli Rahmani, Bahaa Eddine Baccar, Yassine Ataallah and Salma Khaled.
A sports administration course was organised for coaches in Bangui, Central African Republic, from 25 to 29 September 2017. The training focused on good governance principles in sports organisations, ethical values and principles
The Ghana Volleyball Federation, in partnership with the Ghana Olympic Committee and Olympic Solidarity has, since 13 September, been organising a capacity building training course for 33 coaches of the country in Accra.
