The Chairman of the ANOCA Athletes’ Commission, Amadou Dia Ba’a attended the three-day Forum with other Africans, including Enee Udong (ANOCA), Kirsty Coventry and Aya Medani (IOC), Kady Kanouté (WADA) and Nadia Cruz (World Olympians Association).
NOC Tunisia (CNOT) is celebrating its 60th anniversary this November 2017 with one week of intense activities dubbed “sixtieth anniversary week.”
The foundation stone for the construction of the Olympafrica Centre in Santa Cruz, Cape Verde, was laid on 17 October 2017.
A strategic meeting was held on the sidelines of the 34th Seminar for Secretaries General of African NOCs in Sal, and brought together ANOCA members and administrators of NOC Cape Verde.
Delegates to the 34th Seminar for Secretaries General of African NOCs in Sal, Cape Verde, also used the opportunity, on 14 October, to tour one of the competition venues of the 2019 Africa Beach Games.
Another highlight of the 34th Seminar for Secretaries General of African NOCs was the information and exchange session on 13 October, which was devoted to Olympic Solidarity programmes in support of NOC actions.
In his closing remarks, the President of ANOCA, Intendant General Lassana Palenfo, began by thanking the public authorities and NOC Cape Verde for “the warm hospitality and all measures taken for a smooth conduct and successful hosting of this seminar.”
